Links Players is operated by a small, efficient staff, out of our office in Clovis, California.
PRESIDENT
Jeffrey Cranford
Mr. Cranford, who had served for several years on the LPI national board, was asked to lead the organization as its president at the outset of 2008. From this position, he oversees the vision and spiritual thrust of the ministry.
Mr. Cranford is a graduate of Rice University, where he was also a competitive golfer. He is a PGA professional, teaching in the golf-rich La Quinta area of California, as well as abroad. He holds several course records and competed in the 2006 PGA Championship as a qualifying club professional. He has through the years become known in the La Quinta area as “the country club Bible study leader.” He has led and planted studies at numerous clubs in the area, and now teaches weekly during the high season for a combined group of studies, called The Red Door Community. He is married and has three daughters.
CHIEF ORGANIZATIONAL OFFICER
Jeff Hopper
Mr. Hopper was named executive director of LPI in February 2003 and took the title of COO in October 2006. He began as the Media Director of the organization in April 2000, and continues to fulfill the duties of that role as well.
After playing small college golf at the University of Redlands, Mr. Hopper graduated from Biola University, with a major in Communications (Print Media). Mr. Hopper’s previous experience was primarily in education. He taught English and journalism for 10 years in public high school in California, and served two years as the restructuring coordinator of a 4,000-student school in Central California. He also taught for two years at the Nate Saint Memorial School in Shell, Ecuador, working with the children of missionaries in eastern Ecuador. He is married and has three sons.
SOUTHWEST REGION DIRECTOR
Dereck Wong
Mr. Wong left a full-time job with his own company of video game distributors, as well as leaving the LPI national board at the beginning of 2008, in order to become the ministry’s Southwest Region Director, serving Arizona, Southern Nevada, and Southern California from his headquarters in Orange County, California. Before that he was the leader of the Mission Viejo CC Links Fellowship, and since has overseen the planting and development of groups throughout the Southwest. He is married and has two grown children.
SOUTH CENTRAL REGION DIRECTOR
Randy Wolff
Mr. Wolff was named as director of Links Fellowships in November 2005, coming to LPI via the PGA Tour, private business, and Christian camping. Therefore, Mr. Wolff possesses the unique experience of a golf professional, as well as years in business and ministry.
Mr. Wolff’s work headquarters out of his home in Dallas, from where he serves local fellowships, as well as those in Houston, directly. He also assists fellowships around the country via phone and occasional visit. He is married and has two grown daughters.
SOUTHEAST REGION DIRECTOR
Josh Nelson
Mr. Nelson was named Southeast Region Director in August 2010. A professional golfer, Mr. Nelson’s emphasis has been increasingly placed upon ministry to golfers who are investigating the claims of Scripture. He headquarters out of the Atlanta area, serving south into Florida, north into the Carolinas, and west into Alabama.
Mr. Nelson is married and has one child.

Sherryl Doss manages many of our office operations, including donation receipting and order fulfillment.
